The View is a proposed drive-In movie theater and event venue, founded by Morganton, NC native, Rex Willis.

Our mission is to create experiences that bring priceless memories with family and friends, fostering togetherness in a world that needs it, in a welcoming space for everyone.
Our Founder
You might know me from my years in the restaurant scene around the Catawba Valley, where my journey began at just 15 years old at Bojangles. I later found work at Olive Garden and worked there through the pandemic, then eventually moved to Longhorn Steakhouse in Morganton. With my years serving the community through the restaurant industry, I’ve grown into a creative, compassionate, and dedicated person who loves providing memorable experiences for others.
Beyond restaurants, I’ve been passionate about soccer since age four, a sport that taught me resilience, self-belief, and the drive to work hard. Though I never went pro, those lessons have shaped my determination to bring The View to life.
Having grown up in Morganton, I understand this community and the joy a drive-in can bring, inspired by the fond memories I have of Sunset Drive-In in Shelby and Hound's Drive-In in Kings Mountain. I’m excited to create something special here—a space that brings us together to make new memories. Let’s build something incredible together!
